Color Knowledge Base
What is a palette anchor color?
An anchor color is the visual center of a palette, and in most brand systems it is the primary color. It defines the emotional tone of the system, while supporting and accent colors are tuned around it to keep the visual language coherent.
How do you build a balanced palette?
A practical starting point is the classic 60-30-10 rule: 60% dominant color, 30% supporting color, and 10% accent color. That split helps interfaces feel rich without becoming chaotic.
Why does color psychology matter in branding?
Different colors trigger different associations. Blue often suggests trust and professionalism, while orange can feel energetic and creative. Understanding those tendencies helps brands connect with the intended audience more deliberately.
How can these colors be exported into design tools?
You can already copy the full HEX set from each palette card. The workflow also leaves room for future ASE, JSON, and CSS variable exports so teams can hand palettes off cleanly into Figma, Sketch, and implementation.
What is color harmony?
Color harmony is the theory of combining colors in a way that is pleasing to the eye. Common harmonies include complementary (colors opposite each other on the color wheel), analogous (colors next to each other), and triadic (colors evenly spaced around the color wheel).
